Two weeks after the 2025 NFL Draft, the Carolina Panthers are set to welcome their new draft class. The eight-man group, led by first-round pick Tetairoa McMillan, will attend the rookie minicamp this weekend. This event marks the first time these players will be together since being drafted.

Rookie minicamp is crucial for building team chemistry and introducing players to each other. To facilitate this process, icebreakers about each of the eight draft picks have been shared.

Tetairoa McMillan was selected as a wide receiver at No. 8 overall. He made a name for himself at Arizona with consecutive seasons of over 1,300 yards. His roots trace back to Waimānalo, Hawaii, though he moved to California as a child and attended Servite High School in Anaheim alongside Mason Graham.

Nic Scourton was picked as an outside linebacker at No. 51 overall. Starting his college career at Purdue before transferring to Texas A&M, Scourton changed his last name from Caraway in 2023 to honor his father.

Princely Umanmielen, another outside linebacker chosen at No. 77 overall, hails from Lagos, Nigeria but grew up in Manor, Texas. Despite receiving a favorable draft grade in 2023, he returned to Ole Miss for another season to achieve double-digit sacks.

Trevor Etienne was selected as a running back at No. 111 overall after contributing significantly during his time at Florida and Georgia. He is also known for being the younger brother of Travis Etienne.

Lathan Ransom joined as a safety at No. 122 overall and has experience playing all three safety positions during his college career.

Cam Jackson was drafted as a nose tackle at No. 140 overall after transitioning from Memphis to Florida where he discovered familial ties with Gators running backs coach Jabbar Juluke.

Mitchell Evans came on board as a tight end at No. 163 overall following four years at Notre Dame where he transitioned from quarterback due to injury issues.

Lastly, Jimmy Horn Jr., picked as a wide receiver at No. 208 overall, is recognized for his speed and performance alongside Heisman winner Travis Hunter while playing for Colorado.

These rookies bring diverse backgrounds and stories that add depth to their professional journey with the Panthers.
