Charlotte FC is set to face Atlanta United at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in their second encounter of the season. The match, scheduled for Saturday, July 19, marks the eighth MLS regular-season meeting between the two teams. Atlanta holds a narrow advantage with a 4-3-0 record against Charlotte.

The game will kick off at 7:30 p.m. ET and will be available for viewing on Apple TV’s MLS Season Pass. Radio coverage can be accessed on WFNZ 92.7 FM in English and WOLS 106.1 FM in Spanish.

In their previous meeting this season on March 1, Charlotte FC defeated Atlanta United with a score of 2-0. Recently, Charlotte has been displaying strong defensive performances as they find their rhythm again.

Head Coach Dean Smith emphasized the importance of preparation against a formidable opponent like Atlanta United: “We’ve got to go and perform because players like the ones Atlanta United have, on their day, can go and take the game away from us. We have to make sure we do our job.”

Charlotte FC has extended its unbeaten streak to three matches following a recent victory over D.C. United. The team has scored at least one goal in each of their last 15 matches across all competitions.

Players Wilfried Zaha and Pep Biel continue to deliver impressive performances for Charlotte FC. Pep Biel increased his goal contributions to nine goals and ten assists this season after scoring twice against D.C. United, making him one of only five MLS players with double-digit assists.

Wilfried Zaha remains instrumental in Charlotte’s attack with his fourth game-winning assist of the season and contributing a goal in six consecutive matches.
