Charlotte FC defender Tim Ream and goalkeeper Kristijan Kahlina have been named to the MLS Team of the Matchday for Matchday 29, following the club’s sixth consecutive league win—a 1-0 victory over Real Salt Lake.

Kahlina, age 33, received his second straight selection to the Team of the Matchday in 2025. He recorded his third consecutive clean sheet in league play, making seven saves at Bank of America Stadium. This marked the second match in a row where he registered at least seven saves. Kahlina’s season total now stands at 98 saves, leading all MLS goalkeepers. With his eighth clean sheet this year, he is tied for 38th on the all-time MLS list and ranks tied for sixth in clean sheets this season.

Ream, who is 37 years old, earned his first nod to the Team of the Matchday this year. Since returning from national team duty, he has helped Charlotte FC’s defense secure three straight clean sheets across all competitions. Ream is originally from St. Louis, Missouri.

Charlotte FC currently holds seventh place in the Eastern Conference with 44 points and will host New York Red Bulls next at Bank of America Stadium.
