The Carolina Panthers will play without several key players in their Week 5 matchup against the Miami Dolphins. Running back Chuba Hubbard, defensive tackle Tershawn Wharton, tight end Ja’Tavion Sanders, and nickelback Chau Smith-Wade were all ruled out on Friday due to injuries.
Additionally, defensive tackle Jaden Crumedy and linebacker Claudin Cherelus are inactive for Sunday’s game. To address these absences, the Panthers activated defensive end LaBryan Ray from injured reserve after he participated fully in practice last week. Linebacker Krys Barnes was also promoted from the practice squad to provide additional experience at his position. Barnes has started 30 games during his career with previous teams.
With Hubbard sidelined by a calf injury, Rico Dowdle will start at running back. Tommy Tremble will continue as the starting tight end as the team utilizes more formations with multiple tight ends. On defense, Bobby Brown III is set to take Wharton’s place in the starting lineup.
For the Dolphins, their list of inactive players includes running back Jaylen Wright, wide receiver Cedrick Wilson, cornerback Storm Duck, quarterback Quinn Ewers (as an emergency third quarterback), and defensive tackle Zeek Biggers.
After these roster changes, both teams have adjusted their lineups ahead of today’s game.
