Major League Soccer has announced that the 2026 MLS All-Star Game, presented by Chime, will take place on July 29 at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina. The match will feature a team of MLS All-Stars competing against top players from Mexico’s LIGA MX. This is the first time the stadium will host an MLS All-Star Game, and the event will be broadcast live on MLS on Apple TV in English, Spanish, and French.
Leading up to the main event, fans can also attend the 2026 MLS All-Star Skills Challenge presented by AT&T. This competition between select MLS and LIGA MX players is scheduled for July 28 at Truist Field in Charlotte.

The upcoming game marks the third consecutive meeting and fifth overall between MLS and LIGA MX All-Stars. The annual matchup is part of a broader partnership between the two leagues that includes other competitions such as Leagues Cup and Michelob ULTRA Campeones Cup.

Since opening in 1996 originally for NFL’s Carolina Panthers, it has been transformed into a multi-sport venue under Tepper Sports & Entertainment ownership since 2018. The stadium currently generates an estimated $1.1 billion annual economic impact for its metropolitan area.
In previous meetings between league all-stars since this format began in 2021, Major League Soccer holds three wins over LIGA MX’s one victory; last year’s result saw LIGA MX win 4-1 at Lower.com Field in Columbus.
MLS vs. LIGA MX Skills Challenges have each side with two wins apiece so far.
Past rosters have included international stars such as Hugo Lloris (France), Thiago Almada (Argentina), Santiago Giménez (Mexico), Alexis Vega (Mexico), Guillermo Ochoa (Mexico), Sergio Ramos (Spain), Andre-Pierre Gignac (France), Sergio Canales (Spain) among others.
MLS plans additional activities during All-Star Week including community service initiatives, player appearances, soccer celebrations throughout Charlotte as well as hosting youth-focused events like the fifth edition of its NEXT All-Star Game presented by Allstate.
