The Carolina Panthers announced several changes to their practice squad on Tuesday. Running back DeeJay Dallas and safety Israel Mukuamu have been signed to the practice squad, with both players having prior experience with the team this season.
Dallas joined the Panthers’ practice squad in August and was later moved up to the active roster on October 1, where he played in two games. Mukuamu spent the first month of the season on Carolina’s practice squad after spending his first four years in the NFL with the Dallas Cowboys.
In addition, guard Ja’Tyre Carter was added as a practice squad exception. Carter was part of the Panthers’ practice squad throughout the 2024 season but was waived with an injury designation during final roster cuts in August.
To accommodate these moves, quarterback Hendon Hooker, tackle Michael Tarquin, and linebacker Carlos “Boogie” Basham were released from the practice squad.
