The Carolina Panthers have made several roster changes ahead of their upcoming game against the New Orleans Saints. The team has promoted defensive tackle Jared Harrison-Hunte from the practice squad to the active roster. Harrison-Hunte, an undrafted rookie from Southern Methodist University, becomes the 12th rookie currently on the Panthers’ active roster and joins six other defensive linemen, including starters Derrick Brown, A’Shawn Robinson, and Tershawn Wharton.
To accommodate this move, veteran quarterback Mike White was waived. White had served as the emergency third quarterback in last week’s game against Green Bay while starting quarterback Bryce Young was recovering from an ankle injury and backup Andy Dalton was dealing with a thumb issue. This week, neither Young nor Dalton appeared on the team’s injury report.
Additionally, wide receiver Dan Chisena was elevated from the practice squad for Week 10. Chisena played seven games for Carolina last season and recorded his first three career receptions during that time. Since entering the NFL in 2020, he has contributed significantly on special teams. His activation provides additional depth at receiver as Tetairoa McMillan and Brycen Tremayne are both listed as questionable on the final injury report.
