The Carolina Panthers have added another player to their roster ahead of the rookie minicamp by signing running back Trevor Etienne. The announcement was made on Tuesday, leaving only one unsigned draft pick for the team.
Etienne, who started his college career at Florida and concluded it at Georgia, delivered a solid performance last year with an average of 5.0 yards per carry. He rushed 122 times for a total of 609 yards and scored nine touchdowns. Additionally, Etienne’s speed is notable; he ran a 4.42-second 40-yard dash at this year’s combine and showcased a 35-inch vertical leap. His skills in returning kicks were also highlighted during his time at Florida.
Before the start of rookie minicamp, the Panthers had already signed eight out of their six draft picks. With Etienne now secured under contract, only Nic Scourton remains to finalize his rookie agreement.
Voluntary workouts have seen several players present at the facilities, but the majority are expected to return for organized team activities (OTAs) scheduled for May 27.
