The Carolina Panthers have made changes to their roster, waiving defensive back Trevian Thomas on Tuesday. Thomas had joined the active roster from the practice squad two weeks prior. His departure opens a spot on the team’s 53-man roster.
There are several options for filling the vacancy. Wide receiver Jalen Coker, who is currently on injured reserve, has been practicing and remains within his 21-day window to return. The team can activate him at any point during this period.
Additionally, the Panthers plan to open the practice window for offensive lineman Austin Corbett on Wednesday. Corbett has been sidelined since a knee injury in Week 2. His potential return could help stabilize an offensive line that has had to use five different combinations over the past six weeks.
The Panthers also released offensive lineman Darrian Dalencourt from the practice squad. Dalencourt had been signed just last week.
