Town of Harrisburg issued the following announcement on Feb. 12.
The Harrisburg Parks and Recreation Department inherited a strong, established athletic program formed by the Harrisburg Youth Association (HYA). Over the last several years, the Town has introduced new sports opportunities for both youth and adults, and services an average of 5,135 participants annually. The majority of these participants are Cabarrus County residents, providing for fellowship and ease of access to sports for the community.
