Avondale Presbyterian Church recently issued the following announcement.
I have shared with you that a couple of weeks ago I happened to be in a committee meeting with several folks from different areas of the community. Some of the people in the conversation were African American and hearing from their perspective about their experiences these last couple of weeks was powerful for me.
We wanted to provide a similar experience for you, so this Sunday, June 21 at 12 noon, we have invited Rev. Veronica Cannon, former Interim here at Avondale, and Ann Sanders, who sits on the board of Community Building Initiative here in Charlotte and is also a member of Avondale, to a panel discussion. The conversation will be initiated through Zoom so come with your own questions or simply listen and join us for this significant time together.
