Gov. Roy Cooper's Phase 2.5 order is creating confusion for some business owners, WBTV 3 reported in September.
The news program recently spoke with some business owners who are interpreting the rules in different ways. And that interpretations play into if they reopen.
Jody Sullivan, who owns the Roxbury in uptown Charlotte, says things are "getting far too real."
"Next weekend, it'll be six months since we've been open," Sullivan told WBTV. "A month, month and a half. Two months at the most."
To help reduce confusion, Mecklenburg County, WBTV 3 reported, said it would work to align its policies with the governor's Phase 2.5 order.
Phase 2.5 states that restaurants can serve alcohol, gathering limits will be increased and fitness centers can open, but under limited capacity, WBTV 3 reported.
"We have these rainbow dates that we have to look forward to," Sullivan told WBTV. "It's going to be this May date, then it's going to be this June date. Maybe the August date. Now we're waiting on the September 11 date, and no one is even talking about that."
