Mecklenburg County residents can review the annual summary the county is required to submit to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development to validate the use of federal funds by the county.

The 2019 Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER) for the federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program covers the period of July 1, 2019, through June 30, a Sept. 11 Mecklenberg County release said

“This report provides residents with a summary of the annual accomplishments of the CDBG program and the effect program activities have on low and moderate-income households,” the release stated.

The full report is available to download from the county’s website or a hard copy can be requested by email or phone, the release stated. Requests for a hard copy should be directed to Timmothy Tibbs at TimmothyTibbs@MeckNC.gov or 980-314-2915.

Comments can be submitted to Tibbs by mail or email, according to the release. The address for mailed comments is 600 E. 4th Street, Charlotte, NC 28202 ATTN: Timmothy Tibbs, Assistant to the County Manager.

All comments must be received by Saturday, Sept. 26, according to the release.
