The first half of 2021: Home prices in Charlotte increased

The median sale price of a home sold in the first half of 2021 in Charlotte rose by $46,500 while total sales increased by 19%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through June of 2021, there were 9,037 homes sold, with a median sale price of $294,500 - a 18.8% increase over the $248,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 7,595 homes sold in Charlotte in the first half of 2020.

The median sales tax in Charlotte for the most recent year with available data, 2019, was $2,071, approximately 0.7% of the median home sale price for the first half of 2021.
