New personalization opportunities now available in Banner

University of North Carolina Charlotte issued the following announcement on Dec. 2.

Charlotte is committed to fostering a welcoming and inclusive campus environment as a foundation for everyone’s success. Now, students and employees have the option to update their preferred first name, personal pronouns, gender identity and other personalizations in Banner Self-Service. 

This opportunity comes as a result of recommendations from the Know Me Task Force, a representative group of faculty and staff from all areas of campus and the Office of OneIT that is focused on the personalization of the Charlotte experience for employees and students.

Here’s how to make changes:

For Students

  • Log in to MyCharlotte
  • Under My Tasks/Announcements (in the middle left of the page)...
  • Select Personal Information
  • Select Personal Information again
  • Make the appropriate selections to update your information.
For Employees

  • Log in to MyCharlotte
  • If you have multiple tabs, be sure you have selected the Employee Tab in the top right corner
  • Under Banner Self-Service (in the middle left of the page)
  • Select Personal Information
  • Select Personal Information again
  • Make the appropriate selections to update your information.
