Queens University of Charlotte recently issued the following announcement.
HEDWIG will be our first performance back inside the theatre since March of 2020. We can’t wait to kick off the second half of Season 33 with this fan favorite!
Love. Loss. Lust. Lies. Genderqueer rocker Hedwig sets the record straight to a pulsing rock score as she shares her quest for love, her other half, and ultimately, her identity. After a botched sex change operation, a failed marriage, and a lost love, Hedwig remembers the words of her East German mother, “To be free, one must give up a little part of oneself.” HEDWIG AND THE ANGRY INCH is an inspiration to anyone who has felt life gave them an inch when they deserved a mile.
Contains mature themes, explicit language, and sexual content. Recommended age is 14+
Stage effects include flashing lights and fog.
Beginning September 13, 2021, all patrons will be required to show proof of vaccination and a photo ID before entering the theatre. Masks will be required at all times, unless taking a sip or bite of a concessions item.
