April: Home prices in Charlotte increased

The median sale price of a home sold in April in Charlotte rose by $55,000 while total sales decreased by 31.1 percent, according to BlockShopper.com.

In April, there were 990 homes sold, with a median sale price of $355,000 - an 18.3 percent increase over the $300,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 1,437 homes sold in Charlotte in April 2021.

The median sales tax in Charlotte for the most recent year with available data, 2019, was $2,071, approximately 0.6 percent of the median home sale price for April.
