On Tuesday, CMPD’s Diversion Programs Manager Cara Evans-Patterson took part in a nationwide panel hosted by the R Street Institute on the benefits of Youth Diversion. Ms. Evans-Patterson does an amazing job with the CMPD’s Youth Diversion program.
Over the past 10 years, there have been nearly 6,000 referrals of juveniles committing first-time low-level offenses. After completing the program, around 90% of the participants do not re-offend!
