August 1, 2024 – Charlotte Hornets President of Basketball Operations Jeff Peterson announced today the team has waived forward Leaky Black.
Black appeared in 26 games, including three starts, for Charlotte during the 2023-24 NBA Season. He averaged 2.7 points, 1.8 rebounds, and 0.9 assists in 10.9 minutes per game. In his rookie season, Black also played in seven games for the Greensboro Swarm, the team’s NBA G League affiliate, where he averaged 10.87 points, 8.6 rebounds, 2.4 assists, and 1.7 steals in 26.1 minutes per game.
The University of North Carolina product went undrafted in the 2024 NBA Draft and was originally signed to a two-way deal on July 19, 2023.
