CHARLOTTE—The Panthers have added another tight end to their roster, addressing a unit affected by recent injuries. The club signed tight end Jesper Horsted on Monday and waived Tayvion Robinson in a corresponding move.

Horsted, a Princeton alumnus, entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent in 2019 with the Chicago Bears. He has also spent time with the Raiders and the Saints. Over his career, Horsted has appeared in 41 games, recording 14 receptions for 131 yards and three touchdowns.

The Panthers began the week with only three tight ends available for practice due to injuries but added Jacob Hollister on Sunday evening. The team is set to travel to New England this week for their first pre-season game against the Patriots.
