Charlotte FC's U-16 Academy team recently secured a notable victory against Paris Saint-Germain's U-16 squad in a friendly match held at PSG's facilities. Charlotte triumphed with a 3-2 win over one of the most prestigious academies, known for developing talents such as Adrien Rabiot, Mike Maignan, and Xavi Simons. The goals for Charlotte were scored by Carsyn Hall, Franco Jaimes, and Wyatt Holt.

This victory is part of an impressive series of performances by CLTFC's Academy. The U-17 team recently reached the 2024 MLS Next Cup Final, defeating renowned academies like Inter Miami and Barcelona Residency Academy. Earlier this year, the U-15 squad advanced to the knockout stages of the Generation adidas Cup but narrowly lost in a penalty shootout to Toulouse's academy.

The Carolinas have long been recognized as a hub for soccer talent, and Charlotte FC's Academy has reinforced this reputation with their recent successes. With these results, the Academy enters the 2024/25 season with increased confidence and momentum as they prepare for their upcoming campaign.
