The Panthers made a series of roster adjustments on Tuesday due to injuries necessitating changes. The team signed practice squad tight end Feleipe Franks to the active roster, released tight end Jordan Matthews, and waived outside linebacker Eku Leota.

Franks, formerly a quarterback at the University of Florida, was initially on the active roster for the season opener but was later released and signed to the practice squad. He played last week as a standard elevation for that game and has already shown his value on special teams.

Matthews participated in both of the first two games this season. Leota recorded a sack and three tackles for loss in the opener.

Panthers head coach Dave Canales mentioned Monday that nose tackle Shy Tuttle sustained a foot injury on Sunday. The team was already short-handed at that position after placing Derrick Brown on injured reserve. Currently, they have only four healthy linemen: A'Shawn Robinson, Nick Thurman, LaBryan Ray, and Jayden Peevy. DeShawn Williams and T.J. Smith remain on the practice squad.
