MUNICH, Germany — The Carolina Panthers secured a 20-17 overtime victory against the New York Giants, marking their second consecutive win under quarterback Bryce Young. Although Head Coach Dave Canales did not explicitly confirm Young's continuation as the starting quarterback, his remarks suggested confidence in Young's recent performances.

"Certainly, Bryce made a great statement for himself today," Canales commented, reflecting on Young's role in the win. Young completed 15 of 25 passes for 126 yards and one touchdown. Despite the modest statistics, his leadership was evident as he guided the team to victory amidst challenging circumstances, including injuries and trades affecting key receivers.

Young expressed gratitude for his team's resilience over the past two weeks. "It hasn't been always the prettiest, hasn't been perfect, but just us being able to stick together, trusting each other," he said.

Since reclaiming his starting position following Andy Dalton's injury in a car accident, Young has shown improvement with each game. He executed crucial plays, including a 24-yard scramble and significant passes to Jalen Coker and Xavier Legette.

Canales praised Young's progress: "I'm just so proud of Bryce... I thought he had a great day." While acknowledging areas for improvement, Canales emphasized Young's ability to handle pressure and adapt to different defensive strategies.

As Dalton returns to health and resumes his backup role, Canales remains focused on evaluating weekly performance without making long-term declarations. "Bryce certainly is making a statement to all of us," he noted.

Young remains centered on immediate goals. "I'm super happy for this team... it's two wins right now," he stated while recognizing ongoing opportunities for growth.
