MUNICH, Germany — The Carolina Panthers secured a 20-17 overtime victory against the New York Giants at Allianz Arena in Munich. Eddy Piñeiro clinched the win with a 36-yard field goal after A'Shawn Robinson forced a fumble from the Giants.

The game was part of an international series, offering fans a unique experience far from the familiar setting of Bank of America Stadium. Despite the unfamiliar surroundings, including local customs and language differences, the Panthers adapted well to their temporary home in Germany.

Chuba Hubbard was instrumental in the Panthers' success, rushing for 153 yards and a touchdown on 28 carries. Bryce Young also contributed significantly, completing 15-of-25 passes for 126 yards and connecting with rookie tight end Ja'Tavion Sanders for his first career touchdown.

The Panthers' defense showed resilience despite missing key players like Derrick Brown and Shaq Thompson. D.J. Wonnum made an impact with a sack on Daniel Jones during his season debut, while Jadeveon Clowney deflected a pass that led to an interception by Xavier Woods.

Linebacker Josey Jewell played a crucial role by stripping Tyrone Tracy of the ball in the red zone and recovering an overtime fumble forced by Robinson.

Injuries challenged the Panthers' depth early in the game. Running back Miles Sanders exited due to a foot/ankle injury after only two carries and was carted off. Raheem Blackshear stepped up as Hubbard's backup since rookie Brooks was inactive. Tight end Ian Thomas also left with a calf injury, further straining their roster as Tommy Tremble was inactive due to back issues.

Despite these setbacks, the Panthers managed to hold off the Giants and secure their second consecutive win following last week's victory over the Saints.
