The Charlotte Hornets have introduced their new Nike NBA City Edition uniform for the 2024-25 season. This uniform features a mint green silhouette with granite and gold accents, continuing the theme of the first U.S. Mint established in Charlotte after the Carolina Gold Rush of the early 1800s. This marks the final chapter of the City Edition Minted Uniform series that began in 2020-21. The launch includes a creative campaign featuring Brandon Miller, highlighting a new era for Hornets basketball.
“We’re pleased to introduce a new City Edition uniform to be worn this season during our various City-themed nights,” stated Seth Bennett, Chief Marketing Officer at Hornets Sports & Entertainment. “From the very start, our uniforms have been bold and fashionable, putting style front and center, and this uniform is no different. The minted story has always really resonated with our fans, and Charlotte, and is a chapter that we are proud to celebrate.”
The jersey displays "Charlotte" across the chest in black letters outlined in gold trim. It retains coin-ridged pinstripes from previous editions on both jersey and shorts, alternating between granite and gold. The design also incorporates "CLT" next to Queen Charlotte's image above the jocktag. All Hornets uniforms feature NIKE Inc.’s Jordan Brand Jumpman logo on the right chest.
The shorts include a unique 704 logo with a honeycomb-patterned "0" containing "Buzz City," along with a gold and granite version of the team's secondary logo on each leg.
The Hornets will don these uniforms for ten home games and seven away games starting November 16 against Milwaukee Bucks at Spectrum Center. Additional home matchups include games against Atlanta Hawks on November 30, Cleveland Cavaliers on December 7, Oklahoma City Thunder on December 28, Chicago Bulls on December 30, Portland Trailblazers on January 24, New Orleans Pelicans on January 25, Los Angeles Clippers on January 31, Denver Nuggets on February 1, and San Antonio Spurs on February 7.
During these home games, they will also feature their matching City Edition court from its initial debut year of 2020-21 alongside special player introductions and entertainment team outfitting.
City Edition jerseys are available at various retail outlets including Hornets Fan Shop at Spectrum Center and online at HornetsFanShop.com starting today.
