The Carolina Panthers have reactivated outside linebacker Amaré Barno from the physically unable to perform list, providing an additional option for pass-rushing and special teams. Barno has been practicing for two weeks following his recovery from a torn ACL suffered last year on Christmas Eve against the Packers.

Barno, 25, was selected by the Panthers in the sixth round of the 2022 NFL Draft from Virginia Tech. He gained attention after setting a combine record for defensive linemen with a 4.36-second 40-yard dash. During his rookie season, Barno recorded 2.0 sacks and contributed significantly to special teams as a gunner on the punt team, a role typically filled by defensive backs.

To accommodate Barno's return to the active roster, the Panthers waived outside linebacker Thomas Incoom.

In preparation for Week 13, wide receiver Dan Chisena and tight end Stephen Sullivan were elevated from the practice squad. Sullivan is expected to assist at tight end due to rookie Ja'Tavion Sanders being sidelined with a neck injury.

Additionally, safety Nick Scott has been downgraded to out for this week despite beginning practice sessions in his three-week window to return from injured reserve.
