The Carolina Panthers experienced a mixed 2024 season, finishing with a 5-12 record under head coach Dave Canales. Despite the overall performance, several players achieved notable individual milestones.

Quarterback Bryce Young started consecutive season openers, a feat last accomplished by Cam Newton from 2015 to 2019. Young tied a team record for most combined touchdowns in a game with five against Atlanta in Week 18. Jalen Coker set records as an undrafted rookie free agent with 32 catches, 478 yards, and two touchdowns. He also became the first non-quarterback or punter to complete a pass for the Panthers since Christian McCaffrey in 2018.

Andy Dalton became the third quarterback in team history to pass for over 300 yards and multiple touchdowns in consecutive starts. Chuba Hubbard recorded his eighth career 1,000-yard rushing season and moved into fifth place in team history with 22 rushing touchdowns. Offensive lineman Taylor Moton set a team record for most consecutive games started at 104 before suffering an injury.

On defense, Mike Jackson tied for third in the NFL with 17 passes defensed. A'Shawn Robinson led all defensive linemen in tackles with 80 and shared the team lead with five-and-a-half sacks. Safety Xavier Woods played every defensive snap of the season alongside Indianapolis linebacker Zaire Franklin.

Special teams saw Raheem Blackshear move into third place in team history for kickoff return yards while setting a new average return record. JJ Jansen extended his record for most career games played to 260.

The Panthers made history by winning a game despite gaining less than 250 yards while allowing more than 425 yards without forcing turnovers against New Orleans. They also won their second international game against the New York Giants in Munich, Germany.

Overall, while the team's performance was below expectations, individual achievements highlighted potential areas of strength moving forward into the next season.
