The David & Nicole Tepper Foundation (DNTF) has announced donations exceeding $1.5 million to 10 food banks across North and South Carolina, along with support for Feeding the Carolinas. This represents a 15% increase from the previous year’s contributions. The foundation's efforts continue its longstanding commitment to addressing food insecurity, an issue it has focused on since the Teppers acquired the Carolina Panthers in 2018.

Nicole Tepper emphasized the importance of this initiative, particularly following the impact of Hurricane Helene: “Especially in the wake of Hurricane Helene and the destruction it wreaked across the Carolinas, the fight to alleviate food insecurity is of dire importance, and The David & Nicole Tepper Foundation remains committed to this crucial cause.” She praised those working tirelessly in local communities, stating, “For years, DNTF has been working closely with these incredible organizations, and we are proud to continue this support and provide even further assistance to the heroic men and women who serve, nourish, and uplift their local communities on a daily basis.”

Mike Darrow, Executive Director of Feeding the Carolinas, expressed gratitude for DNTF's partnership: “The David and Nicole Tepper Foundation has been a wonderful partner and supporter of Feeding the Carolinas and its ten-member Food Banks for many years. Their financial support, and more importantly their true passion and concern for those in need of food, is so valued and critical to our work."

Beyond these annual donations, DNTF collaborates with food banks throughout the year to address emerging needs. In 2024, projects included building garden boxes with Inter-Faith Food Shuttle and Bank and supporting Lowcountry Food Bank. Additionally, DNTF provided immediate relief after Hurricane Helene. A notable contribution was $3 million committed last summer to Nourish Up for establishing a "Hunger Hub" facility in Charlotte.

Founded in 2020 by David and Nicole Tepper, The David & Nicole Tepper Foundation focuses on community-based projects tackling food insecurity, basic needs, education, and disaster relief.
