A pair of Carolina Panthers players have been nominated for weekly NFL awards following their performances in Sunday’s victory over the Dallas Cowboys.

Wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan is a candidate for rookie of the week after scoring his first two NFL touchdowns in the game. McMillan has accumulated 27 receptions for 380 yards and two touchdowns this season, placing him second among all rookies in receiving yards.

Running back Rico Dowdle is up for the league’s air and ground player of the week. Dowdle recorded 239 yards from scrimmage against the Cowboys, including 183 rushing yards and 56 receiving yards. This achievement set a new Panthers franchise record for single-game yardage, surpassing the previous mark held by Christian McCaffrey. Dowdle is also fourth on the franchise’s single-game yardage list after his performance against the Dolphins last week.

Fans are encouraged to participate in the voting for both McMillan and Dowdle.
