Charlotte Fire Department issued the following announcement on Aug. 12.
Each year the Firefighters' Burned Children Fund (Charlotte-Mecklenburg County Chapter) award scholarships to burn survivors and to individuals seeking careers in fields that assist burn survivors.
This week we were able to present Zoey Rose (burn survivor) and Christopher Carter (seeking a career in reconstructive plastic surgery) with $2,000 scholarships. Congratulations!
