Charlotte Fire Department issued the following announcement on Aug. 22.
Crews were back in the Cruso Community & had a very long & labor intensive day.
Crews continued search efforts through very large debris piles along the Pigeon River & highway 276 for those still missing. Heavy equipment is on scene & operating with the Task Forces assisting with debris separation. This is a State wide effort & collaboration from all the teams.
