Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department issued the following announcement on Oct. 12
A citizen was discovered unconscious, and Officer Lee quickly determined it was because of an overdose. While waiting on paramedics, Officer Lee took command of the incident and coordinated with other officers on scene to administer Narcan to the unconscious patient. When medical personnel arrived, the patient received treatment and regained consciousness. Life and death in these situations can be a matter of seconds. The actions of Officer Lee certainly preserved the patient’s life to be treated by medical personnel for a second chance at life.
