Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department issued the following announcement on Jan. 21.
We ask that everyone limit travels to essential trips to keep roads clear for service crews and first responders.
Remember if you see first responders slow down and move over.
The best way to avoid an accident is to stay off the roads during these conditions. Remember, 911 is for emergencies only.
