Know where to go for care and help our hospitals and EMS teams

Know where to go for care and help our hospitals and EMS teams reduce the strain on the system caused by staffing shortages and high call volumes.

Knowing your options can save precious time and resources:

- Immediate virtual care services are available from Cone Health Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist   or through your insurance provider 24/7 and is a great alternative for non-emergency needs.

- Urgent Care clinics offer medical care when your injury isn’t serious enough for the ER or EMS, but should be addressed promptly and helps when you don’t have a primary care doctor or your primary care doctor’s office is closed. This can include things like strains and sprains, the flu, minor cuts and burns, etc.

- Call 988 if your concern is mental health or substance use related, or visit our 24-hour walk-in Behavioral Health Center at 931 Third St. Greensboro, NC 27405. Both options connect you to compassionate, confidential care.

- Call 911 or go to the ER if it is an emergency - for example for a fire, serious medical condition, chest pain, large bone fractures, to report a crime in progress, etc. Emergency personnel and health care workers work very hard to treat each patient and meet each specific need.

Thank you for your support and for knowing your options for care!
