Outstanding work to report from CMPD’s North Division and Crime Reduction Unit! A search warrant on August 25, resulted in the seizure of: 8 firearms (2 stolen), 100+ grams of meth, a gram of cocaine, 42 doses of oxycodone, and nearly $2,000 in cash.
The North Division CRU was following up on numerous tips and Charlotte Crime Stoppers complaints from the community about illegal activity and drug operations at a home in the 4800 block of Victoria Avenue. The search warrant came after weeks of investigative efforts.
The primary suspect, Gregory Brooks was arrested and faces extensive possession and drug trafficking charges. Due to Brooks’ violent felony history, CMPD’s Swat Team assisted with the arrest along with CMPD K9, Bomb Squad, and MEDIC.
Great work to all involved!
