Firearm Safety Monthly Reminder: Proper storage of your firearm is of utmost importance! On this first Wednesday of February, the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department encourages all gun owners to safely lock and properly store your firearm. Gun locks are available through our Community Coordinators in each of our Patrol Divisions and also from most locations where handguns are sold. You can also stop by the Law Enforcement Center (LEC) in Uptown to pick up one.
Gun safes can be purchased at many locations where firearms are sold. Please be responsible! Safely lock and store your firearm to keep them out of the hands of children!
