We're thrilled to share the incredible ground-breaking work by CMPD's Homicide & Cold Case Units, solving a double homicide of a mother and son in 1984. The suspect is now in custody and the CMPD will continue to seek justice for the family of the victims. Detectives have worked on this case for decades, and a break in DNA evidence led to the arrest. People may not remember this 39-year-old case but the family never forgot and neither did CMPD.
