Detective Lauren Ehlke was recognized today for the bravery and dedication she showed during her involvement in an officer-involved shooting back in August. While trying to serve an involuntary commitment order, multiple shots were fired at her and other officers. Detective Ehlke had a bullet lodged into her protective equipment and was not injured. Thank you Detective Ehlke for your commitment to CMPD and thanks to Point Blank Body Armor for helping us keep our officers safe on the job!
