Jayson Quintanilla and Simon Tonidandel of the Charlotte FC Academy will represent their club at the third annual MLS NEXT All-Star Game, presented by Allstate. The game will take place on Tuesday, July 23 at 11:30 a.m. ET at Historic Crew Stadium in Columbus, Ohio, and will be streamed live on MLSSoccer.com.

The event features 44 of the best young players from the U.S. and Canada in an East vs. West format. Admission is free for fans attending in Columbus as part of MLS All-Star Week.

Luis Robles, MLS NEXT Technical Director, stated, “Throughout the season, these 44 players from both MLS and MLS NEXT Elite Academies have consistently stood out as the best young prospects in our program.” He added that both players and clubs should be proud of their accomplishments this year.

Notable Homegrown players selected include Stefan Chirila (FC Cincinnati), Cavan Sullivan (Philadelphia Union), and Tyson Pearce (St. Louis CITY SC). More than half of the selected players have progressed to sign Homegrown deals or appear in MLS NEXT Pro.

MLS NEXT All-Stars have historically gone on to receive Youth National Team call-ups, with some making Senior National Team appearances such as Benjamin Cremaschi (Inter Miami), Esmir Bajraktarevic (New England Revolution), and Olger Escobar (Guatemala).

Players were chosen following the conclusion of the 2024 MLS NEXT Cup Playoffs and Showcase. Eligible players must have been born between 2007-2009, competed in the MLS NEXT regular season, and participated in at least one premier event this season.

The head coach for the East team is Dan Lock from Columbus Crew, while Shaun Tsakiris from LA Galaxy will lead the West team.
