Crown Legacy FC fell to North Carolina rivals, the Carolina Core, in a closely contested match. The game saw its first significant opportunity just seven minutes in when Crown Legacy earned a free kick outside the box. Bill Tuiloma's strike was saved by the Core’s goalkeeper.

Carolina Core responded shortly after with a goal that bent towards the crossbar and into the net. Both teams continued to battle throughout the remainder of the first half, exchanging goal-scoring opportunities.

In the second half, Crown Legacy capitalized on their momentum in the 55th minute. Aron John threaded a ball between defenders, allowing Idan Toklomati to tap it past the keeper. Despite putting eight shots on goal compared to Core’s two, Crown Legacy's efforts were thwarted by a 65th-minute penalty awarded to Carolina Core.
