Bank of America Stadium is set to host the Copa America semifinal between Colombia and Uruguay on Wednesday, June 10, at 7:30 p.m. ET. The match will be broadcasted on FS1, Vix Premium Deportes 1, TUDN, and Globo.

This marks the first time Copa America will be held in Charlotte, North Carolina. The stadium will also host the third-place match later this week. Fans have eagerly awaited the announcement of competing teams following the quarterfinals.

Colombia and Uruguay are prominent teams with rich histories in the tournament. The Bank of America Stadium is expected to see a significant turnout from Colombian fans; in 2023, there were approximately 46,000 Colombians residing in Charlotte.

Colombia has been impressive throughout the tournament, remaining unbeaten since February 2022. They topped their group containing Paraguay, Costa Rica, and Brazil and defeated Panama 5-0 in the quarterfinals. Key players Luis Diaz and James Rodriguez have significantly contributed to their success.

Uruguay presents a formidable challenge with a robust defensive strategy that has conceded only one goal in the tournament so far. They topped their group comfortably and overcame Brazil in a penalty shootout during the quarterfinals despite being reduced to ten men.

The Uruguayan team relies heavily on their front three: Darwin Nuñez, Maximiliano Araujo, and Facundo Pellistri. However, central defender Ronald Araújo's availability remains uncertain due to an injury sustained against Brazil.

Uruguay aims to add another trophy to their record as they hold the most Copa America wins historically with fifteen titles.

This semifinal promises to be a historic event for both teams and fans alike in Charlotte.
