Charlotte FC faces a challenging match as they prepare to go up against the current number one seed, FC Cincinnati. The game comes shortly after Charlotte faced the previous top seed, adding to the intensity of their schedule.

The first key element for Charlotte will be managing "The Other Argentine Magician." While Lionel Messi often dominates headlines, another Argentine No. 10 has been making significant contributions in Major League Soccer (MLS) long before Messi's arrival—Lucho Acosta. Acosta, the 2023 MLS MVP, continues his impressive form this season with 10 goals and 17 assists at the halfway mark. His record is particularly notable against Charlotte at TQL Stadium, where he was instrumental in two of the three goals scored by FCC during Charlotte’s last visit. Stopping Acosta is crucial for stifling 90% of Cincinnati's offense; however, executing this strategy remains a formidable challenge.

Another focal point for Charlotte will be to "Attack the Gaps."
