Canales informed reporters that starters, including quarterback Bryce Young, are expected to participate in Saturday's game. This marks a departure from previous preseason games where starters did not play. The game will take place at 1 p.m. in Orchard Park.

Bryce Young has yet to appear in a preseason game this year but played 54 snaps as a rookie last season. Canales has not decided whether Young's playing time will be based on drive count, snap count, or production marker but assured he wouldn't pull him mid-drive. Observers should watch how Young handles pressure and manages operations between snaps.

Rookie receiver Xavier Legette is also expected to play after recovering from a foot injury. His connection with Young has improved during training camp. The availability of Diontae Johnson and Adam Thielen remains uncertain due to illness and injury, respectively.

"I'm looking for confidence and speed of play," Canales said. "So I know we're in our wheelhouse when our guys get up to the line fast, come off the ball fast, they finish the plays."
