Hornets Sports & Entertainment announced today that Spectrum Center will reopen its doors in just under two weeks, gradually unveiling the first phase of its Re!magine Spectrum Center arena renovation project over the next month, leading up to the Hornets Home Opener on October 26. The venue will host 45 diverse event nights in its first 90 days of reopening, starting with Maxwell on October 3, followed by the Hornets' two preseason games against New York on October 6 and Miami on October 8. Olympic champion Simone Biles will perform with the Gold Over America Tour on October 9. Additional events include Carin Leon (October 17), For King + Country (October 20), and Usher (October 22 and 23). A full list of upcoming events is available at SpectrumCenterCharlotte.com/Events.

“We’re so excited to reopen our doors and welcome guests back to Spectrum Center for a wide array of events this fall,” said Spectrum Center General Manager Donna Julian. “Leading up to our Hornets Home Opener, we’ll continue to put finishing touches on our new state-of-the-art spaces to make sure they’re flawless for guests. In addition to important back-of-house upgrades, we’ve made some really strategic, impactful changes to our Event and Suite Levels, as well as our Uptown Concourse, that will really elevate the overall experience for each and every person who walks through our doors.”

Hornets Sports & Entertainment will continue to release additional information regarding the fan experience leading up to Spectrum Center’s reopening.

The project has been a collaborative effort between Hornets Sports & Entertainment, the City of Charlotte, the Charlotte Regional Visitors Authority, architect Perkins&Will, construction companies Turner and D.A. Everett, consultant CAA Icon and concessions partner Levy. Phase two of renovations during the 2025 NBA offseason will focus on Main Concourse enhancements including more gathering spaces with increased visibility into the bowl as well as additional seating within the lower level.
