Charlotte to host key matches in FIFA Club World Cup

Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina, is set to host four matches during the FIFA Club World Cup 2025. The venue will see two Round of 16 matches and feature prominent teams such as Real Madrid and Bayern Munich.

FIFA has announced a comprehensive schedule for the tournament, which includes 63 games. The competition will involve 32 club teams vying to become the first champions of this new elite club event. Ticket sales for all group stage matches are scheduled to begin on December 19, 2024, at 10:00 local time through FIFA's official website.

The opening match will be held at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, where Inter Miami CF will face Al Ahly FC on June 14, 2025. This match marks the beginning of the tournament and will take place at a stadium with a capacity of 65,500 seats.

FIFA President Gianni Infantino stated: “The paths for the 32 teams have been set and we now know at what time and where, among 12 top-class stadiums, we will enjoy the 48 exciting group stage clashes." He emphasized that "this match schedule is much more than a list of thrilling fixtures involving the best clubs in the world – it shows that club football can, and will be, truly global."

The scheduling process considered various factors such as player-centric criteria and global broadcast needs while ensuring sufficient rest between matches. Twelve venues across the United States have been selected to host these games. Fans can follow live coverage via DAZN and FIFA+ platforms.

During a recent draw event attended by FIFA President Gianni Infantino and Brazilian football legend Ronaldo, they unveiled a new trophy designed by Tiffany & Co., which will embark on an international tour visiting home cities of all participating clubs starting January 16, 2025.
