Bryce Young continues to add to his repertoire each week. On Sunday, the Panthers quarterback showcased both his running ability and resilience during a 36-30 overtime victory against the Cardinals. He rushed for a career-high 68 yards and demonstrated toughness by bouncing back from a hit while completing a pass.
Robert Hunt, Panthers' right guard, praised Young's resilience: "It lifts me up for sure, and I know the other guys, too," Hunt said. "That kid's as tough as nails, and I give him a lot of credit."
Young's season has been unpredictable. After being benched following two poor performances, he returned to action due to Andy Dalton's accident. Despite last week's setback against the Cowboys, Young seized Sunday's opportunity with improved performance.
He completed 17-of-26 passes for 158 yards and two touchdowns, earning his highest passer rating this season at 107.5. His coach Dave Canales commended his decisiveness: "He was really decisive...just making some really nice throws when we needed him to."
The young quarterback now leads with three game-winning drives this season. Reflecting on the team's victory over past setbacks, Young remarked on their collective effort: "We talked about this last part of the season being a great opportunity just for us to finish...It's a week-to-week league; we can only do one week at a time..."
By embracing challenges and leading through actions on the field, Young is establishing himself as an integral team leader. As he noted: "Everyone's out there risking their bodies...I want to be able to give my all for the team."
With each game, Bryce Young contributes more significantly in various ways.
