The Panthers have reached an agreement with Raheem Blackshear to bolster their backfield depth and enhance their return game capabilities. The deal with the 26-year-old athlete is set for one year.

Blackshear, who has amassed 203 yards on 52 carries along with three touchdowns during his three seasons with the team, has also proven to be a dependable asset in the return game. Notably, he recorded 791 kick return yards last season, ranking as the second-highest in the league. His efficiency extended to punt returns, where he averaged 8.5 yards per return.

Originally signed by the Panthers from the Bills' practice squad in 2022, Blackshear has maintained his position on the team since. His professional journey began as an undrafted rookie following his college career at Rutgers and Virginia Tech.
