With the NFL draft less than a month away, the Carolina Panthers are gearing up to evaluate potential candidates to fill positions in their roster. Although the Panthers appear to be set at quarterback with Bryce Young as the starter, Andy Dalton as a mentor, and Jack Plummer from the practice squad, exploring potential draftees remains a priority.

In the current draft, the Panthers hold nine picks: first round at No. 8, second round at No. 57 from the Rams, third round at No. 74, two fourth-round picks at No. 111 and No. 114 from the Cowboys, three fifth-round picks at No. 140 from the Giants, No. 146, and No. 163 from the Ravens, as well as a seventh-round pick at No. 230 from the Cardinals.

Assessing the available quarterbacks in this year's draft brings attention to several prospects. One is Cam Ward, who had an impressive final collegiate year at Miami with a 67.2% completion rate, 4,313 yards, and 39 touchdowns. Scouts note his willingness to take risks which may not always be well-received at the professional level.

Shedeur Sanders, the son of "Prime Time" Deion Sanders, distinguished himself at Colorado with a 74% completion rate, showcasing his precision and reliability under pressure.

Jalen Milroe of Alabama, after two years backing up Bryce Young, demonstrated his dual-threat capabilities with 2,844 passing yards and 16 touchdowns, alongside rushing for 726 yards and 20 touchdowns.

Ohio State's Will Howard also stands out, fresh from a national championship win, with a 73.1% completion rate and contributing significantly to his team's success.

Notre Dame's Riley Leonard, known for his gritty play, is another prospect. Although his passing stats rank lower among peers, his rushing ability is notable.

Lastly, Jaxson Dart from Mississippi is recognized for his arm talent and readiness to develop further in the right environment.

These quarterbacks offer a range of skills and potential for the NFL teams eyeing them in the upcoming draft.
