The Charlotte Hornets have announced the launch of their first fan loyalty program, Buzz City Rewards, in collaboration with CrowdPlay and Fanatics. The initiative aims to enhance fan engagement and reward continuous interaction throughout the year. Fans can participate in this program via the Hornets + Spectrum Center Mobile App.

Buzz City Rewards allows fans to earn points through various activities such as attending games, shopping at concessions and fan shops, participating in team contests, consuming content like articles and videos, and daily check-ins. These points can be exchanged for exclusive rewards including tickets, autographed items, official merchandise, and unique experiences.

Shelly Cayette-Weston, President of Business Operations for Hornets Sports & Entertainment, stated: “Across the organization we have an increased focus on identifying ways to create deeper, more meaningful interactions with our fans, and Buzz City Rewards allows us to do just that. This program not only recognizes and rewards fan loyalty but it also enhances the overall experience whether they're at the game or engaging from home."

The partnership with CrowdPlay and Fanatics integrates sports loyalty with merchandise access under a unified system. Andrew Pizzi, CEO of CrowdPlay expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration: "We are thrilled to partner with Charlotte Hornets and bring their vision for fan loyalty to life."

As Buzz City Rewards progresses over time, new features will be added to maintain a dynamic fan experience. Further details are available on the official website.
