Charlotte FC faced a challenging match against Inter Miami, ultimately falling short despite having a numerical advantage for most of the game. The match, held on March 10, 2025, saw Charlotte unable to capitalize on being up a man after Miami's goalkeeper was red-carded in the first half.

The Crown began the game with high hopes and strong play, effectively controlling the field and creating early opportunities. However, once they gained an extra player advantage due to a red card issued to Miami's keeper for fouling Zaha, their fortunes changed. Charlotte struggled to break through Miami's defense and found themselves down by a goal after Luis Suarez and Tadeo Allende orchestrated a swift attack that caught Charlotte off guard.

Inter Miami adapted quickly after taking the lead, reinforcing their defense and maintaining their shape throughout the second half. Despite aggressive efforts from Charlotte FC to equalize—including multiple attacking substitutions—Miami successfully held them at bay.

Looking ahead, Charlotte FC will aim to recover from this setback as they prepare for two consecutive home games. Their next challenge is against FC Cincinnati on March 15 at 7:30 PM.

"Same lineup from a week ago for Charlotte FC," noted one observer. Nikola Petkovic replaced Djbril Diani in the roster due to personal reasons. Lionel Messi returned to Miami's roster but did not warm-up pre-match; he remained on the bench throughout.

Zaha experienced persistent fouling during the match but continued pressing forward alongside his teammates in search of scoring opportunities. "Zaha fouled a 5th time already," resulting in a yellow card for Aviles during one such incident.

Despite their best efforts and strategic adjustments throughout both halves of play, there was no breakthrough for Charlotte FC by full-time. They return home eager to regroup before facing future opponents with renewed determination.
